Last Thursday when I called Mom, she didn't answer. It was about 5 or 5:30, and I just figured she went out to dinner. Friday morning my sister called and said she had been calling with no answer and she would drive over to be sure everything was OK. Needless to say, it was an anxious long time waiting for her call back. Mom was fine, but the phone was out. So Friday Sis called Verizon and they said service would be back that afternoon NOT NOT NOT - by Saturday they said the problem was with the pole, but because of the road work the Verizon techs were not going to attempt to climb the pole. So here we have a 90 year old woman with no phone until September. NO NO NO
Today we got Mom a cell phone and Verizon promised to have service back soon.

That is NONSENSE and I would call the corporate hq for Verizon and give them HE_ _ ! Your mom should have a phone and no crap about it. Will she know how to charge the cell phone, etc. Please call corporate and give them a LARGE piece of your mind!!!!!

Unfortunately, your dear Mom is just another account number to them.....curious to see if they will suspend their monthly charges while the service is disconnected!
